Cannot add blank lines with new Editor
-
With the old editor we could add blank lines to improve visuals anytime we wanted. The new editor removes blank lines, and thus we don’t have total control of the visual appearance of our posts.
I find it very annoying and limiting to have to add a character to a blank line to get it to display. This is a definite weakness of the new editor. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Non-breaking spaces are automatically removed by the post editor.
If you need to create vertical or horizontal space I recommend using inline CSS styles. If you give me an example of what you’re trying to accomplish I’d be glad to help you with the specific code.

Also note that though you cannot deactivate the new Beep Beep Boop editor but you do not have to use it. For locating all the ways and means of accessing the legacy or classic pages for creating posts, editing posts, and viewing stats see here > Navigating the Classic WordPress.COM interface http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2015/04/05/navigating-the-classic-wordpress-com-interface/

I was able to add blank lines to my post even for lines that include a picture by using the following command.
<p style=”color: white”> a </p>
It prints the “a” with white ink, so it looks like a blank line.
Without the “a” as text, it only worked for lines that didn’t already have a picture.
The above solution works for all cases.
Thank you very much for your guidance for solving this problem
