Cannot add items to my WordPress menu

    I have a WordPress site that was created last year. I have been asked to add two page links to the menu. Under Appearances > Menu in my dashboard, I can find and select the items that I need to add, but nothing happens.
    I have updated the WordPress version, the theme, and the active plugins. I have also tried to make the edit while the plugins were disabled. I have had no luck.,
