Cannot add links to images?!?!!!???! HELP!!!!!!

Hi,
This is absurd but I’m no longer able to add links to images. whether it’s in a post or in a widget! I’ve tried so many different ways, and so many different themes, and disactivated all plugins, nothing works!
I’ve searched for a solution for hours and I found people with the same issue but no solution.
This is a complete show stopper. Help please. *crying* -

The solution depends on whether your site is hosted here at WordPress.com or is hosted elsewhere using the self hosted version of WordPress.

Wow, thanks for the fast response, but it’s resolved. Was trying to delete my post but can’t figure out how.
