Cannot Add Payment Method

Hi,

I’m trying to add a payment method to my WordPress site, but keep getting the error message “Could not update stored details” when I try to add my credit card. The domain was recently transferred to me, but I have been an admin for a while. I’ve tried two different cards, and neither work. Please advise!

Good Morning –

Thank you for sharing that error message. Please try clearing your browser cache and then sign back in to WordPress.com and try to enter the details again. Let me know if this does the trick.

Hi Liz,

Unfortunately, I still get the same error message after clearing the cache in Chrome, and the same when I tried Microsoft Edge instead. Is there anything else I can try?

Great, thank you for confirming! Have you tried to renew the domain via PayPal?

I’ve also emailed a secure payment link if PayPal does not work. You can reply to that email directly instead of the forums here.
