Cannot administer what happens in my blog
-
My blog will not permit me to publish. It will allow me to have it reviewed, but there is no publish button. There is no “users” option anywhere to add another contributor or designate myself as an administrator. I have been trying for MONTHS. Today I thought I would try again. Why is this so difficult? I’m the only one writing for my blog. How can this be fixed?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered any blog to access it.
Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibilityIf you have lost your log-in information you can visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If required click the “Need More Help” link and complete the form for account recovery. -
P.S. I also tagged this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

Hi, Timethief and thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have literally spent 5 hours trying to screw around with this. I thought I found a workaround by recreating each post in the “quick post” area, which includes a “publish” button, but afterward, nothing happened. I will go through your suggestions, and again, many thanks for your assistance. BTW, how do I subscribe to the Staff follow-up thread? Thank you again.

Hi, Timethief,
OK. I went through the links but didn’t find anything useful.
This is my only WordPress blog. I am the only person associated with it. I am not designated as the administrator, but rather have been identified as a “contributor.” That must mean *I* need to approve my own posts. But I can find no way to do so.
I went through the process of resetting my password and logged in. I went to one of the 4 posts I have written.
Then I went to:
Dashboard
My blog
This is what happened
Posts
All PostsThen clicked the first of the posts which is now in “draft mode.”
When I clicked it, I see the publish box and have the option to
Save draft
Preview
Move to trash, or
Submit for Review.I’ve already tried the “submit for review” option on one of the other posts and am not presented with the option to publish.
There are two names associated with this account. The member name “terrinaka” and the public name “terrinakamura”
There are two email addresses associated with this account. The gmail you’ve used to reply to me, and my person account with Comcast.
I don’t know how I became a contributor to my own blog.
It would be great to figure out how to use WordPress. I remember the last time I had some posts, it took me a helluva lot of time and energy to get them posted. I have no idea how I accomplished it.
Thank you for any other ideas.

It seems you have two account, and you’re currently logged in under the wrong one. Make sure to log in as: terrinakamura
If you don’t have access to your account or forgot the password, you can request a new password over here.
Please follow the instructions carefully. You’ll receive two separate emails during the reset process, so make sure you read them both. If you don’t receive the emails right away, check your spam folders as well. The confirmation emails can get caught in them sometimes :)

Hi, you guys. You were absolutely correct. But how in the heck did this happen? And how do I remove my other “self?” (Terrinaka) It’s really confusing. What do you think, Kardotim?
THANK YOU!

Accounts can’t be deleted at WP.com, but what you can do is go in to that account, change the password to something completely bizarre and unhackable, and just abandon it. If it has any blogs you can either delete them or set them to Private so you can use them to play around with themes and widgets. Warning: deletions of blogs are permanent and irreversible.
Hi by the way. Nice to see you here.
