Cannot attach tags

I cannot attach tags to my posts and the little red activity indicator (the one that shows a number) is the same. I can’t open it either. Otherwise, I seem to have no problems. I also have no other mouse or computer problems with other programs or sites.

(1) How you are connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com?
The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. Also note that the main dashboard isn’t designed to work with touch devices through the tablet and smartphone browsers.(2) Are you using the secure https:// login?

Have you done any troubleshooting? Below are the troubleshooting steps we take whenever any issues like this arise and undertaking them will provide valuable feedback information for Staff:
a. clearing your browser cache and cookies > http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
b. Using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled
c. updating the browser to the latest stable version (not a buggy BETA browser version) http://browsehappy.com/

If you fail to provide any specific information such as answers to the questions I posted above then how can we Volunteers and Staff help? If you post only to commiserate then how does that help the blogger who posted this thread?

Sorry, took some time to go through all of it. I am using IE9 latest update. have disabled all add-ons and extensions and cleared all cookies, etc.
Still unable to attach tags. Also unable to use Quick Edit from Dashboard.
Was able to open the little red notification box once, but not now.
Also, and don’t know if this is related, I wanted to upgrade to Pro bundle, since my Custom Design is expiring and I am told that it is unavailable. Part of the same problem?

I am using IE9 latest update. Have you disabled compatibility mode?

I did have wordpress.com listed with a compatibility setting. I removed it from the list and now everything seems to be working. I have had this setting for as long as I know, did something change?

We live in a technologically advancing world where our operating systems, browsers and software are automatically and continually updated. Nothing in the universe or cyber world is frozen in time. Change is the only constant in the universe and that includes the cyber world too. :)
