cannot automatcially update wordpress and manual update has failed

  Dear WordPress and users,

  For at least 6 months now I have been unable to update wordpress using the auto update option in the dashboard, or any of the additions I have either like jetpack. While I myself cannot do a manual update, one of my friends did one for me but this has also failed to resolve the issue and it still is not updated to the lastest version and still fails to perform updates when clicking the update buttons.

  Please could you help me resolve this? I really need to upload new information and images to my site but I am reluctant to do so before fixing the update problems.

  Sorry, but you are in the wrong forum. This forum is only for blogs/sites hosted by WordPress.com

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  And you should ask in the WordPress.org forum.

  I cannot log into the forums there with my details, it says my email is not recognised, which is why I thought this was the right place to post. Can anyone tell me what is happening?
