Cannot buy site redirection

  I am getting this error when I try to buy site redirection: A domain mapping already exists for that host. You do not need to buy a site redirect if you already have a domain mapping.

  I bought my domain through WordPress.com, but have moved to self-hosted WordPress now.

  Heya,

  Upon re-reading your email, you should not actually need a site redirect. If you are looking to point your domain towards another site, all you need to do is to change your nameservers over using this help center article:

  Change a Domain’s Name Servers

  Purchasing the additional add-on isn’t necessary!

  Hi – I think I do need it, as I want everything directed at cybergibbons.wordpress.com to go to my self hosted site at cybergibbons.com

  cybergibbons.com works fine, it’s just this other part.

  If you change your primary domain over to cybergibbons.com here:

  https://cybergibbons.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains

  Then all traffic to your site, whether cybergibbons.com or directed at cybergibbons.wordpress.com will be directed to your new WordPress.org site.

  Thanks – that worked. I tried that when I first looked at it and got an error message saying something about the namserver configuration. All sorted now, thanks for you help.
