Cannot Centre Captions?

  Hi there, I need help with centering captions on photos? (Site: mwatkins93.wordpress.com)

  I’ve tried re-adding and deleting images, hitting the align centre button on the edit portion and nothing works?

  I understand that the CSS editor has a fix but I am not a premium member so I do not have access to this?

  Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

  I had a look at mwatkins93.wordpress.com and I cannot see a post that has images with captions.

  Can you link me to one such post? I can have a look at it and suggest further.

  I’m currently working on two posts (not finished yet) where I need the captions to be centered. None of my prior posts have captions.

  Basically, I put a picture up anywhere on the blog post and when I apply a caption it “aligns to the left” automatically. Even when I apply the “align center” option the text attached below the picture stays on the left side.

  As far as I know, it’s not possible to change alignment of image captions. The align left, align center and align right options you are referring to, are the setting used to align the image itself on the post, not the captions.

  If you could show links (after you publish these two posts), I can suggest further.

  This is what I am referring to. The “M. Shadows” portion stays to the left.

  This could be a theme-level customization, or could be happening if you are using custom CSS.

  I will be able to have a look at this when the post is published and suggest further. If that’s okay, please share the link to the post when it is published.

  I am not using Custom CSS as I am not a premium member. Is changing the theme a possible solution?

  I just tried Afterlight (the WordPress.com theme you are using on https://mwatkins93.wordpress.com/) on my test site and it turns out the captions are aligned left – confirming this is a theme-level setting.
