Cannot change a parent page any more

  I just tried to publish a new page on my website, but there is something wrong with the parent page selection.
  I cannot choose or fix the parent page that this page should be attached to, in any way – the page simply turns up on my start page (without a parent). Looks like there is something wrong with the editor page.

  PS. There are more than 500 pages on my website, maybe it is too much for the editor to take …? :-)

  Hi there,

  Since your site has so many pages this might be cause of the issue. We’ve got similart reports and our developers are working on a fix. We don’t have an estimated timeline for when this will be fixed as they are still investigating.

  However, I have a workaround to suggest. You can assign a page to a parent page through the WP Admin interface at https://theo48.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page

  Just hover over a page and select the Quick Edit option.

  

  Then select the parent page from the drop-down list.

  Thanks a lot, fstat, for the “workaround” suggestion. I just added the new page to the parent page it belonged to. Problem resolved, thank you very much! Theo
