Cannot change account email – no confirmation email

    I’ve tried repeatedly to change the email address in ‘me/account’ but never get the confirmation email from wordpress.com, so the change never gets processed. After I enter the new email address and click SAVE I get this notification: ‘Your email change is pending. Please take a moment to check (new email) for an email with the subject ‘[WordPress.com] New Email Address’ to confirm your change.’ I’ve tried it with a few different email addresses, checked spam, etc, but no luck.

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    Hi,

    If you are not getting the email message to confirm the change and it is not in your spam folder, you’ll need to contact the Account Recovery team so they can help you change the email address of your account.

    You can contact the Account Recovery team by sending a message to passwordhelp@wordpress.com

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply. I sent an email to Account Recovery at the address above on the 18th and then followed up on the 20th requesting help with the address update. I sent the email from the original address on the account and have received auto-replies saying a Happiness Engineer will be in touch. The issue still persists, unfortunately, but hopefully it is in the queue.
