cannot change CNAMES in DNS

  • Unknown's avatar

I changed from free godaddy email to godaddy office 365. I changed all the DNS info but it will not allow me to change the CNAMES. It says, “Handled by WordPress.” I am hoping this means WordPress know what to change. Do I need to get in touch with anyone at WordPress to make the changes for me?

What CNAME record did you wanted to add?

    Looking forward to your reply.

This CNAME information came from godaddy:

    • Name:
    autodiscover Target:
    autodiscover.outlook.com
    • Name:
    sip Target:
    sipdir.online.lync.com
    • Name:
    lyncdiscover Target:
    webdir.online.lync.com
    • Name:
    email Target:
    email.secureserver.net
    • Name:
    msoid Target:
    clientconfig.microsoftonline-p.net

Thank you. I’m not sure if I entered all the other information correctly or not.

I forgot that after I typed this, I was able to enter the above but it has been several days and my email is not working so I apparently did something wrong. Plus the CNAME stating, “Handled by WordPress” is still there. Thanks.

I’ve just double checked the records and everything looks fine. The ‘Handles by WordPress’ CNAME record doesn’t interfere with the others.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance!
