Cannot change email address.

I’m trying to change my email address on my profile page. Everytime I change the address and press ‘update profile’ the page refreshes and the old address is still there.

Send a feedback to support at wordpress dot com which includes both your original and changed email address.

I have repeatedly changed the email address on the Options page but I have not received the email confirmation. Until I get that I cannot click the confirmation link. And until I click that link the old email address will remain there.

FYI not sure if it’s related but last night the blue admin bar disappeared on me a couple of times when I was on my main blog page. They must be tinkering as per usual in the background.

On weekends I always expect “tinkering”. This specific issue has been coming up recently on the forum and I tried for 3 days before I sent off my support request.

So has there been a solution to this problem? I’m trying to update my email address, too, with no luck. From looking at the dates of the posts here, the problem is over a year old? REALLY?

As far as I know this works since I did this not too long ago for an account. Have you tried changing it in your global dashboard to see if that works?

I have managed to change my email in my profile, but email sendt from my contact form (page: kontakt Lene) is still sendt to my old email adress.
I have therefor tried to change the email adress (admin) on the page “General Options”, but it is impossible to do. It just pops back to the old adress and I do not get an email to confirm. -

It’s an issue that doesn’t seem to have been resolved for everyone yet. If you changed the email in General Options but haven’t received the notification, check your spam folder; it might be there. If it’s not, if you have another browser, try changing it using that. If it’s still not working then you’ll have to contact staff with details once support opens as they’re the only ones with the access to help you.
