Cannot change email address

  I have been trying to change my email address for my blog. However, I get a message that says the email address is already in use. It is my address, couldn’t be in use by anyone else.

  I have cleared the cache and cookies, refreshed page, still does not work. Help! :-)

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello there,
  you have two separate email address settings at WordPress.com.

  Blog notifications for the admin (like comment moderation, Likes, new subscriptions, etc) are sent to the email address at Settings -> General in the Dashboard.

  Personal notifications (like comments on your post, subscription emails, and upgrade renewals) are sent to the email address at Users -> Personal Settings in the Dashboard.

  Try changing it at http://wordpress.com/#!/settings/ first.

  If that doesn’t work, try Users -> Personal Settings in your blog’s Dashboard.

  Thanks for responding! Yes I tried to change it both ways. I did have another blog with a different email address though. I have deleted that blog. Still not working.

  I get this message:

  “ERROR: That e-mail address is already being used.”
  ” ERROR: The email address is already used.”

  :-(

  I think I see the problem. I was not looking at the email in settings general.

  If that does not work for you please return to this thread and type modlook into the sidebar tags and that will get Staff attention.
