Cannot change my contact e-mail address

I haven’t added any new material to my oldspouse.wordpress.com site in a few years, but I want to start blogging again. I am unable to access my old e-mail contact address ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) because that was a work e-mail address and I have since retired from that organization and no longer have access to that e-mail address. Are there some authentication questions I used that you can access and ask me to answer so I can update my user e-mail address? I don’t remember the three authentication protocol answers you require. My new e-mail address is (email visible only to moderators and staff). There is no way I can access my old e-mail address ((email visible only to moderators and staff)).

I’m afraid the only forms of verification we can accept is an email from the address connected to the account, or else a transaction ID for an upgrade or the activation URL for the account:

If you’re not able to provide any of those, we won’t be able to give you access to the account that owns that site. We have strict rules in place to prevent unauthorised access to our users’ accounts, and cannot make exceptions in this regard.
