cannot change my contact e-mail address

  Hi folks
  Am trying to change my e-mail address to one which was previously used on another wordpress account (since deleted) – I obtain the error “That e-mail address is already being used” – Any help on how I can erase the old email address – although it was deleted, it seems it is still alive some where ?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  That email address is locked during 30 days after deleting the other account.
