cannot change my username

I had a username and would like to change it. It is currently @sincerelyjulieblog but would like to change it to @ablondeandherdog
It’s saying the username has to be all lowercase and no numbers, however that username fits that. -

https://ablondeandherdog.wordpress.com has been registered by someone else.
When you register with username, the blog address under that username will be reserved too.
For example, if a user register with ‘johndoe’, wordpress.com will automatically create a blog address ‘johndoe.wordpress.com’

Yes, i registered it to me last night.
however it did not automatically change my username. -
Have you tried log out and login using the new username and password?

I’m afraid there is already a user with the name ablondeandherdog. I’m not sure why you are getting the error about lowercase and numbers, but the fact that it has already been registered is the reason you cannot use it.

Just so we are clear, the other user has the site URL ablondeandherdog.wordpress.com. You registered ablondeandherdogblog.wordpress.com.
