Hi,
Let’s take one issue at a time.
but now I cannot restore my original pages either
Pages shouldn’t be affected by creating and attempting to publish posts (blogs). Pages have gone missing?

An attempt to publish a post may sometimes fail for unknown reasons. However, if this occurs, there should be a draft of the post preserved. See the Autosave and the Post and Page Revisions support pages.

Greetings from Austria!
Thanks musicdoc1 once again! Since yesterday I have restored my original site but I was not able to link the two. Is there such a thing linking two wordpress sites or just simply have a page for the new one on my old site??
Thank you in advance!
Best,
Éva

It depends what you mean by linking two WordPress sites, and whether they are both WordPress.com sites. Links on one WordPress.com site which go to another site are easy to create — see the Links support page — and they may be included in posts, pages, and various widgets. In a response to the forum topic How do I connect my two WordPress sites together?, honeysilvas suggests linking sites with a custom menu, which is certainly a viable idea.

Sorry for my initial misunderstanding of the OP. Many people confusingly refer to a post as a “blog.” That’s what I thought you had done, and thus came my irrelevant response regarding posts. I see my mistake, but precisely what it is you are attempting to do still eludes me.
