Cannot Change Page Order AfterLast Update

Hello, After the last auto-update (not sure which one, I get emails about plugins and stuff updating daily) I no longer have the ability to reorder my pages. On the pages menu, under screen options the page attributes is 100% gone. The checkbox no longer exists at all. Each pages’s quick edit is set to the correct page order I want them in (0-5 and all pages parent is the home page) but on the actual website they display in the wrong order. in my appearance page I have edited the menu, set them to the order I want in the menu but the pages still are not correct. I tried creating a brand new menu and again the webpage displays the menu correct but the pages are in the wrong order when scrolling. The website is a year old and I have changed page order before and I have no idea what else to try. Anyone have any suggestions. Google searches just say to check the page attributes box but mine is gone and then change the menu options which I did to no success.

I have the same problem. New pages are not in the order I want and I cannot move them to a reasonable position.

Did you already see the article in our extensive documentation – https://wordpress.com/support/pages/page-attributes/

There is no need to set the home page as parent page; all pages can be on the same level.

Sorry, busy couple of weeks and couldn’t respond. Yes, I’ve read that page and followed the steps in the page order before I even posted this question. Every page in my site has the “Order” setting set to the order of what I want but they do not load in that order. WordPress or a plug in must have a bug and it will not follow the order for some reason. I may have to just start the webpage from scratch as after a few weeks there seems to be no way to change the page order and I give up. As stated these instructions WILL NOT work after an update a few weeks ago so I’m out of options:

    1. Visit your dashboard.
    2. Click on Pages from the options on the left.
    3. Click on the title of the page to open the editor.
    4. In the settings sidebar on the right, locate the “Order” setting.
    5. Put the number 1 in the box labeled “Order“. This tells WordPress to display this page first.
    6. Click the “Publish” or “Save” button to save your change for that page.
    7. Repeat the process for your other pages, but use consecutive numbers for the “Order” field: 2, 3, etc. This tells WordPress to display these pages second and third.
