Cannot change the Administration Email Address

  I’m in the ‘wp-admin’ part of my website, and I have to change the Administration Email Address, however once i enter a new email address, it tells me ‘There is a pending change of the admin email to…’ but I never receive any emails, and have been trying for a month now with no success. Apologies i’m new to WordPress, and would have asked via the chat support, but that doesn’t seem to be working either.
