Cannot charge featured post images on Karuna theme

Hi everyone! I’m migrating my site from wordpress.com to self-hosted. I choose the karuna theme. I’ve been able to migrate most of the content however all of my featured images are gone and I can’t seem to be able to upload them again (i’m editing the post and uploading them manually) any tips?

When you say you migrated from WordPress.com to self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org), did you use the export-import option to move the content or did you manually copy-paste content?
If you used the export-import content, note that for media files like images to be imported on to your new blog, the old site (WordPress.com site) has to be online/active at the time of the import process.
If both of your sites are still online, here is what you can try. Clear the contents of the new WordPress.org site you have completely, and try the import process afresh, with the old site (WordPress.com site) being active (not deleted)
Otherwise, I am afraid, you don’t have much choice but to upload all photos to your media library and then assign them one-by-one to your posts as featured images.
