Cannot Choose FRUIT SHAKE Theme for Blog!!

  Hi guys,

  I’m setting up a new blog and for some reason the FRUIT SHAKE theme will not appear as an option for me to choose. Yet in my other blog, it does appear.

  I really want to use FRUIT SHAKE as I use it for my main blog, http://www.doggerelizer.com, and I want all my new blogs to have the same basic look. And I am very happy with Fruit Shake.

  Hmm, I’ve just Googled it, and it says the theme is “retired” (https://theme.wordpress.com/retired/fruit-shake/). What does that mean for my continued use of the theme? And what themes are similar?

  Your Googling is correct – Fruit Shake is a retired theme, so it remains available on your old site, but you won’t be able to activate it on a new site.

  There are other themes that are designed with a blog style layout with two columns.

  In particular, Twenty Ten, Twenty Sixteen , and Hemingway Rewritten stood out to me as good options :)
