Cannot confirm by email

    I’m a teacher using WordPress in the classroom. Students have set up their own accounts, but I have a few using their university (edu) email addresses who are NOT receiving the confirmation emails to proceed. Most of them have been able to switch to a gmail account and be successful in starting their first posts, but I have at least one student who tried this who still is not receiving a confirmation email to authenticate her site so she can make her first post. Any ideas for solutions?

    Hi –

    It will be best to have the student post here directly from their WordPress.com account so that we can take a look.

    They should verify that they are checking the email address listed on their account at wordpress.com/me/account/

    Also, talking to your school about their network blocking would allow our emails to come through. They’ll need to unblock WordPress.com for their email service.
