Cannot connect to Facebook using Sharing/Publicize

I have used Facebook sharing for some years now and every once in a while I have to refresh the connection. I expect this is normal. Today I was asked to do it again but it did not work. Instead I ended up on the https://wordpress.com/sharing/henningjust.wordpress.com page and when I try to connect to Facebook I get ‘The Facebook connection could not be made because no account was selected.’
I searched for this and the most relevant result was this: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/publicize-on-facebook-6?replies=4 (basically, clear cache and cookies, log into Facebook, log into WordPress admin and try again). That did not help.Does anyone know why this happens?
I have recently started a secondary blog and could this be related?

Are you sure you have third party cookies enabled?

Yes, and thank you for that. I had forgotten to mention that.
I specifically used the browser I have with third party cookies enabled.And thank you for the modlook directions. I will do that now.

Did you disconnect and reconnect the WordPress.com app under your Facebook account as well?:
Log into your Facebook account. Then go to your Facebook Account Settings →Apps page by clicking this App Settings link.
