Cannot connect to Tumblr via Publicize

    I’m trying to connect my tumblr through Publicize in the sharing settings.
    When I click on ‘Allow’ it always gives me an error message saying that the connection could not be made.
    Wordpress also shows a yellow banner then saying the connection could not be made because no account has been selected.
    I’ve logged out and in again both here and on tumblr, I’ve cleared my browser cookies & cache and I tried it on a different browser as well with the same result.
    Please help.
