Cannot contact support, flooded with emails
-
Hi there, the first problem is that I suddenly cannot find the place to submit a ticket. The second problem is that I started a new blog, and my private email address is getting flooded emails even though I clearly made sure that emalis from WP were to be blocked. Can anyone help?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Here’s the link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.
-
The blog linked to your user name is set to “public” visibility and not “private”.

Hi! Thanks for the response – That one had better not be public! I just checked and it’s checked off as private. Is it this one?
-
I used the search boxes under Contact Support, but it took me on an infinite loop back to the same page.
-
Ps do you know how to unsubscribe my emails if it already says “never send emails”? The setting seems to be the same for every blog I have even though they’re seperate.
Thanks! :)

I’m signing up for email followup posts, LOL, because my email will be useless anyway until I get this resolved!

This one is set to “public” http://emmiscafe.wordpress.com/
This one is set to “private” http://emmysteahouse.wordpress.com/my private email address is getting flooded emails even though I clearly made sure that emails from WP were to be blocked.
What does that mean? When we register a username here the email address we provide becomes our unique identifier. Consequently, it is the one all email pertaining to our blogs is sent to it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/

Whew! LOL, thanks for that. It’s just casual chit chat with friends, but I wanted to make sure it was private. :)
The thing I blocked was comment subscriptions. It worked beautifully for Emmiscafe, but not for Emmysteagarden (the private one).
Thank you again!

ps Do you know how to get to the contact support page? The link just took me around and around to the same pages but no support tag form.

re: contacting Staff
Did you notice that you must type something into the searchbox and then scroll down as I described here? https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/cannot-contact-support-flooded-with-emails?replies=8#post-647916All blogs you register under the same username when signed into WordPress.com are assigned to the same email address because it is your unique identifier. You can go here > Settings > Discussion and look for these settings adn disable them

Oh, I found it!! Yay, thank you!! I just have to check to make sure it works (rushing off to rescue a stray cat right now, but I’ll be back later). Re: Support, the search box leads me to a series of links, which lead me back to the search page. Not sure why.
Thank you for your amazingly fast and wonderful help.

The seachbox does work. You have to follow the instructions I posted. You type into the searchbox and it provides results. Then you scroll down and at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.

It worked, thank you! It seemed to only function if I typed in more than one word…..but that’s perfect, thanks for the info!

I can’t contact support either. Followed instructions above, entered my problem in the box– but the “search” button does not work (nothing happens when I hit it), so I cannot get to the next screen about whether or not my question was answered, and therefore cannot reach support team.

Did you type a word into the searchbox before you clicked “search”? It will not operate unless you do that.
-
Yes, of course.
See my message above: “entered my problem in the box”, but nothing happens when i hit the search button -
@surfingon Have you tried using a different browser? It may be a browser issue. Clearing your cache (& wordpress.com cookies) may fix your problem.
