Cannot copy and paste any text from other sources.

  Suddenly I cannot copy text from any sources into my posts! I saw the topic discussed as a “bug” in another forum but no clear way of fixing.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi Chris!

  Can you provide me a little more information about this?

  -Can you copy/paste into other sites? For example can you copy/paste text into the Google Search Bar?
  -Are you using command C and command V to copy/paste?
  -Where is the location of the text you are trying to copy?
  -What happens when you copy/paste? Is it completely blank? Or is it appearing but the formatting is off?

  Also can you provide me the link to the forum thread talking about this bug? I’d be happy to take a further look!

  Thanks, Grace. I can’t seem to find the other forum topic on this, but I think it had to do with “cutting” and pasting into posts. I’m not able to “copy” and paste from news sites, other blogs, etc. I’ve used the right click on mouse as well as “edit.” There is just a blank.
  Any ideas?

  Can you give me an example? Let me know the URL to the news article you are trying to copy, and where you are trying to paste it.

  I will try to reproduce the error on my end!

  Ok, Grace. It’s not working with ANY copy and paste from ALL sites, but let’s say I’m trying to copy and paste from this CNN story to paste a few lines into my blog post.

  Nothing appears.

  Hi Chris!

  I’m having a hard time reproducing this error. As seen here, I was able to copy and paste parts of that news article into the Post Editor:

  

  If it’s happening all across the board, it may be an issue with your computer more than the WordPress.com site. I believe it may be a browser issue.

  Can you try restarting the browser? So quit the Safari browser completely and restart it.

  Also, can you try copying/pasting on another browser like Google Chrome or Firefox.

  That would just be a test to see if it’s just the Safari browser.

  I’m going to try the “Press This” tab from WordPress I added to my browser. Maybe?

  Duh. I figured it out Grace. Somehow the “Visual” tab was switched from “Text” in my dashboard. Seems to work now! Thanks anyway.
