Cannot copy and paste from my site without it freezing

    When I am editing my blog, I often copy one part and paste it to another. This week, any attempt to copy of a portion of my blog will completely freeze the blog. Prior to this, I would receive a notice: ‘Someone has tried to copy your blog. If it was not you… etc.’ Now it will not let me copy my blog at all! I cannot edit this way. Can someone fix this? Please reply!

    Are you speaking of http://conversationalitalian.wordpress.com/? I ask as I’ve never seen a notice like that on WordPress.com.

    What exactly are you copying, and where (i.e. in the editor? From the front end?). Also, how are you copying (i.e. highlight text, right-click copy? highlight text, Ctrl-C?)

    Please check if clearing your browser cache makes any difference, or if you run into the same issue when using another browser.

    Yes, the blog I have listed that you have reposted is the blog I am speaking about.

    I am copying and pasting as I always have and as everyone does – highlight and then right click to copy or cut and then paste.

    I am copying in visual mode. Either one part of my blog that I want to move or from a word document to paste into my blog.

    Can someone from the Staff reply to me and help me to fix this problem?

    Hi there,

    What block, in particular, were you using while attempting to copy and paste content? I see in the most recent post that just the classic block was used.

    Also, were you trying to copy a portion of the content or all of it? If you are trying to duplicate the entire block content, you can always duplicate the block as well

    Click the three dots on the right and choose the duplicate option.

    To eliminate this being a browser issue, have you tried copying content while using a different browser? If not, I would log in under a different browser, try to copy-paste content, and see if you get the same results.
