Cannot create extra lines above paragraph.
-
Please look at this page: https://malaysiaforestandisland.wordpress.com/forest/
You will see that the page is divided into two columns, the left one for photos, the right for text.
You will also see that the text begins three lines above the photographs. I want them to be aligned horizontally. I have tried to add extra blank lines above my text using as explained in the advanced html tutorial here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/advanced-html/
Every time, it works the first time, but when I come back to the page the next time it has reverted to the situation you see now, and in the html the have disappeared.
Yes, I had saved my edits!
I’d be very grateful if someone would help me find a solution, because as it is it looks unprofessional.
Many thanks.

Corrections. Two of the sentences above have the code for non-breaking stripped from them! So, they should read:
“I have tried to add extra blank lines above my text using the code for non-breaking spaces as explained in the advanced html tutorial”
and
“and in the html the non-breaking space code has disappeared.”

So, the only way to achieve this was to take the titles out of the div style for the left hand column. Now the text in the right hand column lines up with the photos in the left hand column because now both text and photo are at the top of their respective columns.
It seems to me perverse that on WordPress.com websites one cannot create blank lines by the conventional method (
). Please could somebody tell me why, and if there is an alternative method that works? Many thanks.
