Cannot create or edit posts

    I am using Firefox on Windows 10.

    As it says in the title, whenever I try to write a new post or edit an existing one, the page fails to load. It doesn’t go to a 404. Rather, it seems to finish loading, but all that is visible is a blank white screen: no text; no boxes; nothing at all.

    This issue has persisted for several days. I have tried restarting the browser and the computer. I have also tried refrshing the browser cache.

    The issue does not occur on mobile.

    I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

    Hi there,

    What you describe indicates some of the code the site needs to work isn’t loading.

    Clearing the cache is the first thing to rule out, so thanks for trying that. Also unplug your modem/router for a few seconds to clear its connection cache, and if you’re using any browser add-ons, disable those to see if that makes any difference.

    If none of that helps, please check if you’re able to load the editor in a private window, using another browser, or if possible, using a completely different internet connection.

    Hi kokkieh,

    Thanks! I tried disabling extensions and after some trial and error it seems to be DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials that was causing the issue. Strange, as I’ve had it for ages and it’s not previously caused problems, but there you go.

    I’ve reported the issue to them.
