Cannot create parent and child categories

  These few months I have problem creating parent and child categories. The blog has a category called Eateries and I am trying to add new restaurant names as sub category unsucessfully using the mobile app. There is no way to do it using desktop version.
  Could I change back to the classic mode of writing blog? It is way much easier than now. It is too troublesome now.
