Cannot Create Site

  I’m new to wordpress.com and I’m interested in creating a professional portfolio/CV site.

  I performed the following steps:

  1. Create account
  2. Create site
  3. Select Theme

  Then I run into a brick wall on the “find a domain” page. If I search using the “Enter a Domain or Keyword” text box, it returns “Sorry, there was a problem processing your request. Please try again in a few minutes.” for any query. If I attempt to link it to a domain I already own, it returns “Sorry, there was a problem processing your request. Please try again in a few minutes.” for any entry.

  There are several other issues with my account that make me think the whole thing is messed up on the backend. If I attempt to change my account’s linked email address, it returns “The OAuth2 token is invalid.” If I select “Notification Settings” in my account, it immediately throws up a notification box “There was a problem saving your changes. Please, try again.”

  Any ideas what the root cause might be? It’s very frustrating to see the platform fail simultaneously on so many basic features.

  Hi there! I’m sorry but I never encountered this kind of issues on WordPress.com. However, have you tried to report this on a ticket ? or a chat ?

  I found a fix. I deleted the cookies I had from wordpress and things started working again.
