Cannot crop my uploaded picture in Gravatar

  Hello. I have a problem with adding an image as a gravatar. When I try to upload one – it seems to be successful, but when I am taken to the page, where I am supposed to crop my image – I see something like this:

  

  The thing is that cropping works fine for other images, but it does not, when I try to upload the image that I really want to use as my gravatar. Are there any special criteria for JPEG files allowing some of them to be gravatars, and some – not?
