Cannot delete a site whose domain name has expired

I would like to permanently delete the teacherhorizonsblog.com site. However there is an expired domain name purchase that is making this impossible. Does anyone know how to delete a site whose domain name has expired?

If you want to permanently delete your site, please follow this guide:

I messaged yesterday about removing mapping from my wordpress site as I need to redirect and map the domain to a new wordpress.
