Cannot delete my account

    Today I tried to register for a professional organization but could not do so because, apparently, my old WordPress account confused the new registration. When I tried just now to completely delete my account, I could not do so. Please help me delete my account (username is dsmith7).

    Hi there,

    Do you mean you are trying to create a new account? To create a new account you’ll first need to completely log out of this one, otherwise the process won’t work.

    It’s not possible to delete a WordPress.com username account, but you can see here for the steps you need to follow to deactivate it:
