Cannot delete old blog; please advise.

  I want to delete wordpress.com blog from my account, but I do not see an option to do so.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Please follow these steps to delete your WordPress.com blog. Go to Dashboard->Tools->Delete Site. Check out this link for more details. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

  I tried that already, but I do not have that option under “tools.” This is what I see:

  I should add that this is not a blog that I created, merely a blog I’m a contributor to. The person who created the original blog is deceased, so I cannot ask him to revoke me as a contributor.

  I’m just checking so we aren’t tripping over each other. My guess is that you are a Staff wannbe getting forum experience. Yes? No?

  Yes, it’s possible that I would apply after gaining enough experience and learning what I can through the forums. It’s stated here that volunteering in the forums is a great way to gain experience for the Happiness Engineer position.
  However, I don’t have any intention of tripping over anyone. At this time, I am just trying to learn.
