Cannot delete old/defunct sites from iOS app

    I have a number of old self-hosted blogs that show up in the iOS app (where they cannot be deleted). But they do not appear as ‘followed’ sites on wordpress.com.

    Can anyone tell me how to get rid of these old sites? The iOS app insists on using one of them for the source of info it displays on the iOS widget — even if the site is ‘hidden’ on the app.

    FWIW, removing defunct sites from wordpress.com has been a problem for what seems like almost a decade — I am surprised Automattic hasn’t done anything about this to make it easier to clean up a userid.
