cannot delete site – keeps saying 'link expired'

  I set up a temporary test page on my wordpress.com login. I am trying to delete this now as I do not want it,

  I have gone to Tools>Delete Site> etc
  Then it says the site will not be deleted until I click on the link in my email
  So I go back to my email, click on the link, and each time it says
  The link has expired
  What does it mean the link has expired, I just went there within 5 minutes.

  I am glad I did my site on wordpress.org as it was a hell of a lot easier than this.

  To confirm, you’d like to delete unaaa2015.wordpress.com, correct?

  Keep in mind:

  Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to reuse its WordPress.com address (such as yourgroovysite.wordpress.com).

  Delete a Website

  If you want to proceed, please confirm and I will delete your site for you.

  Thank you for your offer to delete it for me.

  its ok now, it seems to have deleted it. I had to try 5 times, as it kept saying the link had expired. Eventually it worked.
