Cannot delete widget
-
Hi. I cannot dragn’drop the widget because it immediately scurries back to where I don’t want it! And when I open the widget text box with the new dashboard, the box is only half visible, so cannot use the delete button.
Any advice? Thanks! -
I have the same problem. It’s an RSS feed. I can’t edit it either.

Use Firefox, its much better than IE.
and as riraito says, save changes immediately after adding the widget, then again after entering any info into it. -
I’m having the same problem. I pull the widget, and it jumps back… There’s not chance to hit “save”… I also can’t edit it. I suspect it has something to do with my theme. My theme appears to no longer be available. Perhaps I can’t edit it because of that?

@allenem – that sounds like a browser issue. If you are using IE6, upgrade to IE 7.
@jackiedoss – we need a link to your blog. The themes here at wordpress.com never go away, so it sounds like you are hosted elsewhere.

That’s definitely a wordpress.com blog and the theme you are using is Fjords04, which is still available in your dashboard under Design>Themes. The way to delete a widget has changed – you click on the edit button and then at the bottom is the Remove button. (Old way to drag down to the open area no longer exists.)
If you want to edit a widget click on Edit. After you are done, click on Change (at the bottom of the widget) and then hit Save Changes (at the bottom of the widget list).

Vivian, I tried again, but when I click “edit,” the box just wiggles a bit and bounces back (it shrinks a tiny bit and then goes back immediately to its original size) in just a split second. Nothing else changes. i can see the “save changes” button… but I’m not able to make any changes.
