cannot delete widgets on right menu

  When I go to the widgets area – there are none listed on my menu – but when I show the site – they blogroll, categories and archives show up. I do not want these on the right menu – how do I remove them?

  Those are your Default widgets. They appear when no other widgets are set. If you add a widget they’ll disappear.

  If you want a completely blank sidebar, just add a blank Text widget to your widgets area.
