Cannot disable twitter sharing
-
I am an admin, but my site will not allow me to uncheck the twitter option on my post

Hi there!
You can try to do this attempt on a different browser. Sometimes, browsers may have issues, so that is what I recommend.
If it still doesn’t work — please reply back here, and I’ll be able to help out.
Thanks!

Hi there!
Thanks for reaching out.
Okay, so you may want to go to:
My Sites > Sharing > And check to see if Twitter is enabled. If it is, then please disable it and enter your details to enable it again.
If it is disabled — please refresh and add your details to connect it, then go back to your post, and refresh the page, then do the same attempt.
Please reply if I misunderstood, didn’t help, or confused, and I’ll be able to help.
Thanks!

Please do not assume that everyone posting here is referring to a WordPress.COM hosted site. In fact about 30% of those who post here ought to be posing to http://wordpress.ORG/support.
Prior to offering any support please confirm the URL of the site referred to and where it is hosted.

Ohh okay @timethief
So this can mean people with a “wordpress.com” subdomain, this can also be users on WordPress.org as well?
Thanks!

All sites hosted by WordPress.COM are on .wordpress.com subdomains. Those with custom URLs may have domain mapping upgrades or they may be WordPress.ORG software installs on aid hosting.
Registering an underlying .wordpress.com URL first is required for domain mapping. That underlying URL does not have to match the domain URL when you are domain mapping.
What domain mapping does is providing a seamless redirect to the very same content under the new domain URL when a person clicks the old URL .wordpress.com to the original content. It can take up to 72 hours for domain propagation to take place throughout the internet but it doesn’t usually take that long. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
There are 3 ways to add a custom domain to your blog. Please note that an active WordPress.com plan is required to add a custom domain to your site. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#getting-started
WordPress.com does not accept domain transfers but mapping an existing domain is possible. http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/ The domain or mapping of any existing domain URL is included in the pricing for a personal upgrade, a premium and a business upgrade. The WordPress.COM upgrade for mapping a domain must be renewed annually.
WordPress.com does not provide an email service for blogs on their sub domains or on custom domains. Please see these support docs
https://en.support.wordpress.com/add-email/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-forwarding/We do not provide support for local installs of WordPress.ORG software, or for WordPress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, linked to WordPress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites WordPress.COM account page.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
The wordpress.ORG support forum is at http://wordpress.org/support. The wordpress.ORG login link is here https://login.wordpress.org/ If you do not have an account yet then click Create an account https://login.wordpress.org/register/ and if you have lost an account password click Lost password? https://login.wordpress.org/lostpassword/
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page
See also https://apps.wordpress.org/support/ for app support.I have been here for over 11 years and I do not wish to be anyone’s mentor. I predate all support docs and all support staff except one member being on staff. I am multitasking and I am visually challenged. I recommend confirming each and every URL referred to and determining exactly where it is hosted and also doing WHOIS searches prior to posting into a thread. Please forgive the interjection into this thread that do not amount to providing support to you. I humbly apologize for them.
What is the exact URL starting with http:// of the site in question please?
And exactly which username account registered that site and is the original Admin of the site?
