Cannot disable WordPress notifications in Safari (but can in other browsers)
-
Some months ago WordPress.com started showing notifications on the right hand side of my WordPress.com blog webpages, when I am logged in.
I would like to switch these notifications off.
So I went to the browser notifications preferences at https://wordpress.com/me/notifications, and I saw that on the Chrome browser, these notifications can be enabled or disabled via an Enable/Disable button.
However, when I go to the notifications preferences on Safari, there is no Enable/Disable button displayed. This button appears in the Chrome browser, but is not shown in Safari. This is using the latest version of Safari, version 17.2.1.
So in Safari, there appears to be no way to disable or enable notifications. This may be a software fault in WordPress.com.It seems that browser notifications are enabled by default on Safari, because these notifications show up on my WordPress blog, within the browser window on the right hand side.
Safari is the main browser that I use, so I would like to get rid of these notifications from Safari.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
