Cannot disconnect blog from wp.com and lost statistics

  • Unknown's avatar

I use JetPack and WP.com for statistics for my personal blog.
Today I migrate the domain from “luizricardo.eti.br” to “luizricardo.org”.

The problem started because I had two entries in “My Blogs” list:

    1. “luizricardo.eti.br” with about 15,000 views
    2. “luizricardo.eti.br/blog” with about 200 views

The second one probably was due to the initial installation of wordpress. I endured just a few days then I moved it to the root path.

Today, I clicked on the “disconnect” option of “luizricardo.eti.br/blog” entry, but it actually removed all statists of this domain. Worse, this entry continues appearing in my blog list and the correct one was gone.

Now, I have connected “luizricardo.org” with no stats at all and I also have the wrong “luizricardo.eti.br” version.

Well, I need a way do remove the wrong entry.
And… I know it’s almost impossible… I’d like to know if there’s a way to restore the statistics that was improperly deleted.

    Can some help me?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Some JetPack solutions are here http://jetpack.me/support/
Others are in the JetPack support forum at WordPress.org
    http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack
Note: If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.org, click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post there.

However, if you can’t find help at either one then you can file a JetPack support ticket here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service

Patience… patience… patience. Every time I enter this forum I receive the same automatic answer.
I just mentioned another tool and someone tells me to go to other “support forum”.

Is “timethief” a sort of bot or something like that? Oh, come on! Just read what I’ve written!

Look, I’m a software engineer with many, many years of experience in web development and I know where I am asking for help. Indeed, I’m only asking for help because I need something that’s out of my control. (Unless I hack into the system and execute arbitrary queries in the database, which I believe shouldn’t be very difficult)

If it’s too hard to understand me, maybe because my English is not my first language, or because this “great” forum lacks the edit feature so I could have improved and corrected my original question, I’ll ry do clarify what I originally meant.

    THERE ARE ERRORS IN WORDPRESS.COM!

    Are you listening to me?

    Ok, I’ll get into details:

    PROBLEM #1

Before my change: In WordPress.com, I went to “My Blogs” and there were two entries for “luizricardo.eti.br”, with different data.

In WordPress.com, I clicked “disconnect jetpack” on the older entry.

What happened? It deleted all data related to “luizricardo.eti.br”! Old and new data! I lost a year of statistics.

    PROBLEM #2

In addition to the previous problem, the old entry remains in “my blog” list, without any data, and kind of broken. When I try to disconnect it IN WORDPRESS.COM, I get the error:

This user is not authorized to disconnect this blog.

Well, if there’s real professionals supporting this forum I hope they could fix the problem aforementioned and other users could benefit from it.

For me, in a couple of times I needed some assistance, this forum was utterly useless. WP.COM philosophy is sort of “it’s free, so do not count on us if you have any trouble, even if it’s our fault”.

I think I’ll just stop using WP.COM and stay with Google Analytics. I’m luck I installed it some months ago.

Well, I would have helped except you’re awfully rude and apparently don’t even read the answers you get, so you’re on your own here.
