Cannot display portfolio or featured video

  Hi,

  I have followed the instructions from the Creative Portfolio theme and so far I have managed to get my menu and top slideshow the way I wanted it to be. I have some posts from my blog which are currently under the Blog/Events page.

  There is the video under Blog that I would like showing as in the example from the theme and same for the portfolio which sits currently here https://therainbird.com.au/portfolio/.

  I have tried:

  -front page displays latest posts. Doesn’t work.
  -front page Home and posts page blog. Doesn’t work
  -Featured content tag. Doesn’t work.
  -Static front page: display portfolio/ display featured video. Doesn’t work

  Also the banner doesn’t show either.

  Any idea about what I should do?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Are you trying to create a video post and feature it on the home page? When you attempt to create a video post, are you selecting Video under Post Format? You can find that option under Post Settings when creating a new post.

  The Creative Portfolio’s featured video support page notes that once you create a Video post, just ensure that a featured video is enabled on your static front page.

  I hope that helps! Let me know if you’re still experiencing issues, or if there’s another feature you are trying to implement on your site that I missed.

  Hi,

  Thanks for your reply.
  Yes, that’s what I want to do.

  I have copy pasted the Youtube link as in the provided example in the theme instructions. Post format is video.

  Display featured video is also ticked under static front page.

  I am actually unable to display a featured video, a portfolio and a banner :(

  There is the video under Blog that I would like showing as in the example from the theme

  You have setup the video correctly and enabled it in Theme Options. The last step is to set your Home page to the ‘Front Page’ template using these steps:

  Once you’ve done that, the video should appear :) You mentioned a portfolio page — the Creative Portfolio theme only supports video in this location on your front page (Home).
