Cannot download a plug in to turn my page into an auction

  I am having a hell and back experience trying to upload this software.

  Hi there. It is not possible to install plugins on a WordPress.com blog. There is no upgrade that will give you that ability. http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/

  If you look at the link you gave you’ll see it say wordpress.ORG, not wordpress.COM. Plugins are only available for self-hosted WordPress.org websites. See here for help in setting up a self-hosted site where you’ll be able to run an auction site, as that type of site is not possible, nor I think allowed, on WordPress.com: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
