Cannot download plugins

Morning,
We hired some coders to build a website for us who have since become unreachable and it’s made downloading plugins rather difficult. I am able to access the admin account to edit the site we have but if I want to download a new plugin to install say, an analytics plugin like JetPack, I am required to enter the account details of the person who built the site which I don’t have and will be unlikely to ever get. Is there a way we can reset the user who built the site so that we can download plugins ourselves?

Hi Antony, are you paying for the site’s upgrades, domain, and hosting? If so you can likely regain access. If the site is here on our servers, send a link and we’ll help you find the right account, or you can use the tips here:
