Cannot Edit & annoying adverts
-
I have a Premium site. No matter how many times I refresh the WordPress site, I keep getting pop up adverts. Also there are hyperlinks from individual words in my blogs that are links to adverts – none of which I set up or authorised. PLUS I cannot edit any of my blogs. The edit link takes me to the ‘page’ where I normally edit, but there is no text visible. The blog heading is there, but none of the text, or media images. When I return to my blog site the adverts are still there and the text and images are visible. Wat is going on?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I did not see any ads on you site – sounds like your PC has a virus or more likely your browser is infected or you have some malware on it or some sort of extension that is adding the ads

Thank you for your response. I had to leave for a short while, hence my tardy reply. I’m using an iMac, the latest operating system and with virus protection. Although I guess it is still possible that a virus has bypassed all of that. I’m using Firefox as my Browser and the problem seems to be associated just with Firefox. Using Safari, there are no issues, that I have discovered.
With Firefox, the advertising appears, there are individual words and/or images in my Blogs that are also hyper-linked to advertising, and when I check the ‘edit’ facility in WordPress (ie try to edit my material) via Firefox nothing is shown in the text box.
I have rebooted my computer, relaunched Firefox as well without any change in the problem. The edit facility works okay in Safari.
Any further suggestions please?
regards
David
