Cannot edit galleries in new editor

The New editor cannot be used to edit a photo gallery – the shortcode is displayed instead of the gallery image.
(Please be advised that I know how to reach the old editor, but with 1000s of posts this is incredibly tortuous).

Thanks for the feedback. Gallery editing is something missing from the new editor. For the moment, this will need to be done through the old editor.
