Cannot edit profile

  Hi,
  I am new to wordpress. I have yet to be able to edit my profile. whenever I click the “my profile’ link the page that loads is a pale colored screen with the wordpress logo in the middle. The screen never loads anything else. Several other actions on this site bring me to the same page, such as when I try to customize my wordpress.com site. Help Please!

  Hi there. It sounds like you’re getting stuck on the loading screen. Please do the following to rule out browser or connection problems:

  Please make sure you are using one of the browsers listed here and that your browser is updated to the latest version: http://browsehappy.com/

  Additionally, try clearing your browser cache and cookies and make sure you have third-party cookies enabled. You can also check whether you have the same problem on a different browser.

  Next, try resetting your modem/router and try a different connection if possible.

  If none of that helps, please let us know exactly which browser and version you’re using (https://www.whatismybrowser.com/), and also what type of connection.

  Thanks for your help!
  I cleared the cache and cookies. Third party cookies were disabled so I enabled them, but this did not fix the problem.
  I am currently using a macbook pro with OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard) software on a wifi connection. It appears I cannot update my browser (Safari 5) unless I upgrade my software to the current OS X Yosmetti. This also prevents me from downloading another browser to try.
  For now I suppose I must assume this is the problem.
  I cannot try another connection right now but I will when I get the chance.
  Hopefully the problem is one of these simple things.

  Hi again. I’m afraid I don’t have a Mac, so can’t test this on my side, but I’m going to tag this for staff to follow up. Perhaps they have some other ideas what could be causing this.

  Have you tried using Frirefox or Chrome to see if that makes a difference?
