cannot embed mixcloud link on to my site

  All I get is the text when I check it in “visual” and in “preview.”

  [mixcloud https://www.mixcloud.com/rostasi/random-radio-001-music-for-drug-runners-criminals-rapists-and-some-good-people/ width=100% height=120 hide_cover=1]

  What am I doing wrong?

  Sorry. I thought I was asking a general question concerning a website that uses WordPress and why I was unable to embed a simple Mixcloud widget. I’ll check elsewhere for a more proper forum.

  “Using WordPress” can mean either WordPress.com, or the open source WordPress software found on WordPress.org, and in many respects the two work differently.

  With WordPress.com you need to use the shortcode as explained here:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/mixcloud-audio-player/

  However, I have no idea if that also works for the open source software, or if you perhaps need a plugin to embed it there instead. If you’re using that version of WordPress, the best place to ask for help would be https://wordpress.org/support/, but they’d still need to know the site, preferably a link to the post where the embed is not working, in fact, to see if there’s perhaps something you added incorrectly that’s preventing the embed from working.
